Rhêmes-Saint-Georges è un tranquillo centro per vacanze posto a 1218 metri al limitare del Parco Nazionale del Gran Paradiso. Nella stagione estiva si possono effettuare numerose escursioni a cavallo. Sentieri e stradine permettono di percorrere in sella itinerari che attraversano villaggi dall’architettura armoniosa. Anche gli escursionisti possono trovare percorsi di ogni difficoltà, brevi e lunghi, adatti a ogni tipo di allenamento. Alcuni si svolgono nelle fitte foreste, mentre altri raggiungono le panoramiche dorsali che dividono il comune dalla Valsavarenche e dalla Valgrisenche; tutti , comunque, offrono la possibilità di incontrare esemplari di camosci, stambecchi, marmotte ed anche il gipeto, maestoso avvoltoio degli agnelli recentemente ricomparso in Valle d’Aosta. Non si deve infine scordare l’opportunità di praticare il free climbing sulla palestra attrezzata.   Rhêmes-Saint-Georges est un centre touristique tranquille situé à 1218 mètres d’altitude, à la limite du Parc National du Grand Paradis. Pendant l’été il est possible d’y faire de nombreuses promenades à cheval: sentiers et petites routes de campagne permettent de chevaucher à travers des hameaux à l’architecture harmonieuse. Les randonneurs trouveront ici des circuits, long ou courts, de tous les degrés de difficulté. Certains serpentent à travers les bois alors que d’autres conduisent aux sommets qui séparent cette commune de Valsavaranche et de  Valgrisanche. Ici il peut vous arriver  de rencontrer chamois, bouquetins, marmottes et même le gypaète, cet imposant vautour des agneaux qui a récemment fait sa réapparition au Val d’Aoste. Enfin, des murs aménagés offrent la possibilité de faire de l’escalade. 
 

Rhêmes-Saint-Georges is quiet centre holiday situated at an altitude of 1218 metres on the border of the National Park of Gran Paradiso . In the summer time, a lot of ridings on horseback can be made. Paths and lanes allow to ride along itineraries which cross villages with harmonious architecture. Even hikers can find routes of various difficulties, short or long, suitable to any degree of training. Some of them unwind through thick forests, while others reach the panoramic ridgeline which separates the commune of  Valsavarenche from Valgrisenche. Anyway, they all offer the possibility of seeing specimens of chamois, steinbocks, marmots and even the beardedvulture, the magnificent lambvulture which  recently  reappeared in the Aosta Valley . At last, we must not forget the opportunity of making free climbing on a practise wall.

 

Rhêmes-Saint-Georges ist ein ruhiger Ferienort am Rande des Nationalparks Gran Paradiso auf 1218 m. Im Sommer kann man per Pferd viele Wanderungen unternehmen. Saumwege und Strässchen geben die Gelegenheit im Sattel kleine harmonische und architektonische Dörfer zu besichtigen. Ausflüger finden Strecken auch für Unerfahrene. Wege die duch dichte Wälder führen, oder panoramische Bergrücken erreichen, welche die Gemeinde Valsavarenche von der Gemeinde Valgrisenche abteilen; alle jedoch geben die Gelegenheit Gemsen, Steinböcke, Murmeltiere, Bartgeier und mächtige Lämmergeier zu sehen. Nun soll man nicht auf die Möglichkeit vergessen des "Free Climbing" an der ausgestatteten Palästra.
